​Ashippun Fire Department

Ashippun Fire and Rescue is always looking for new members.

If you think you have what it takes, want to join a great team, and be an important part of your community, please let us know.  If approved, AFD will pay for you to go to school for Firefighter One and/or EMT State certification.  Firefighter One certification meets NFPA 1001: Standard for Firefighter Professional Qualifications (https://www.nfpa.org) and training for WTCS Firefighter 1 certification. EMT-Basic meets DHS 110: Licensing of EMT Basic requirements (https://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov)  and is also a state certification and licensed program. Both courses are a one semester program that you will attend at a local technical college.  We have a monthly meeting, monthly maintenance, and monthly training that you are encouraged to attend as well. We do not have assigned shifts as AFD is a volunteer organization in which you respond whenever you are available.
